"Building Community with Uprooted People to Serve the Common Good," is the mission of Refugee Immigration Ministry (RIM). This organization, founded in 1986 and based in Boston, provides community-based support to individuals and families who have been uprooted by violence. Research has shown that when someone has lost everything, they hold on to their faith. RIM's faith-based approach builds collaboration between community faith groups in order to provide support to each client from his or her own faith.
With everything happening with the Syrian refugee crisis, funding programs like RIM will be vital for the success of their programs in the coming months. RIM aids asylum seekers' integration into the community, helping the individual flourish and the community benefit from their contributions. RIM truly is making the world a better place!
Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal for this organization. Any donations will DIRECTLY help to purchase food and clothing, pay rent and utility costs, and more for these struggling families, many with small children, who have suffered great trauma.
